The GooseBuster® PRO is a single-speaker sonic deterrent designed to help discourage Canada goose activity across outdoor areas of up to 1.5 acres. Informed by Dr. Philip C. Whitford’s research into Canada goose behavior and vocal communication, the system broadcasts authentic recordings of alert and alarm calls, along with predator sounds, to create an environment geese may perceive as higher risk.
Programmable sound combinations, playback intervals, duration, and operating schedules allow the system to be customized for site-specific conditions and a variety of outdoor applications.

The single-speaker GooseBuster® PRO provides coverage of up to 1.5 acres. Multiple units can be used to extend coverage across approximately 4–6 acres, depending on placement and site conditions. Programmable sound combinations, playback intervals, volume, and operating schedules allow the system to be customized for specific applications, with optional coyote bark and simulated gunshot sounds available.
The weather-resistant control box is designed to support outdoor use when installed and operated according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
Informed by Decades of Behavioral Research
Dr. Philip C. Whitford has studied Canada goose behavior and vocal communication since 1979, including documenting an authentic Canada goose alarm call recorded under natural conditions. He holds a PhD in biological sciences with a specialization in animal behavior, as well as bachelor’s and master’s degrees in wildlife management.
Dr. Whitford’s research informed the development of the GooseBuster® PRO and its species-specific sonic technology. The system has also been evaluated through university-led studies examining how Canada geese respond to recorded alert and alarm calls.

Effective and easy to assemble. It is early days but the Goose Buster seems to be very effective so far in discouraging the infestation of resident geese on my small island in a lake in Ontario. It is very easy to set up and the variety of the random distress calls should keep the geese guessing for quite a while. It might be good if it were possible to buy a recording of additional distress calls to add to the variety, since is suspect that after a while the geese will cotton on to the fact that the pre-programmed distress calls are repeating. – L.
